MÉLAN’s mixed-media practice is built around the emotional force of color and the vitality of natural forms.

Across canvas, wood, aluminum and paper, layered surfaces create a place for gesture and chromatic movement to meet. Flowers appear not as quiet botanical studies, but as expressive forms—repeated, enlarged and reimagined through line, texture and rhythm.

The work balances spontaneity with structure. Visible marks retain the energy of their making while recurring vessels, stems and blooms anchor each composition. The resulting paintings explore optimism, friendship, tenderness and the connections that shape daily life.

Each work is an invitation to pause inside color: to encounter something immediate, generous and alive.
